The existence of role ambiguity is quite inherent in an organization as interdependent team based work has become an inherent characteristic of the workplace. By having better clarity regarding individual roles, employees can impact their performance significantly. In Royal Duty Free, I realized that employees did not have clear function and there were no procedures as guidelines on their processes. Thus, employees were unable to effectively deliver what are expected from them. Consequently, the organization was affected and it resulted to forecast inaccuracy and therefore increase the stock out incidences in retail stores and incurred opportunity loss.
