This project is a review of studies dealing on the current status of the Filipino teacher. The studies were conducted to help solve prevailing problems in the Philippine educational system especially on the role played by the teacher and government and private agencies. Except for the longitudinal study, the other researches used questionnaires to obtain information on the status of the teacher. The studies involved a large sample and were descriptive in nature. The studies have similarities in findings yet distinct because each gives important issues and the questionnaire was able to elicit different perceptions as based on the specific purpose and significance of the study.
