Trip to New Orleans Commemorative Medal (from The Life of Lincoln Medallic Biography Collection)

The medal\u27s obverse features a design after Lloyd Ostendorf\u27s original artwork that depicts Lincoln steering a flatboat down the Mississippi River. On the reverse, a short biographical sketch regarding the voyage appears. A laurel wreath borders the lower half of the medal. The medal is mounted in a leather slipcase album, which is Volume II of a two-volume set.
