El maltrato infantil es uno de los problemas sociales más importantes de nuestro tiempo. La negligencia es la expresión más frecuente del maltrato infantil; sin embargo, no existe una definición universalmente aceptada para ella, lo que dificulta interpretar e identificar el problema. El presente estudio tiene como objetivo identificar el impacto de determinadas variables individuales, sociales, relacionales y familiares sobre el abandono físico o descuido de los niños con un pronóstico tan desfavorable. La situación de abandono físico o desamparo de los menores es donde podemos encontrar las condiciones inadecuadas del hogar donde vive, la ausencia de quehaceres domésticos por parte del cuidador. El nivel de educación cultural de los padres/tutores; la situación profesional de los responsables del menor.Child abuse is one of the most important social problems of our time. Neglect is the most frequent expression of child abuse; however, there is no universally accepted definition for it, making it difficult to interpret and identify the problem. The present study aims to identify the impact of certain individual, social, relational and family variables on the physical abandonment or neglect of children with such an unfavorable prognosis.
