Sobre la discusión filosófica del término educación física: una perspectiva ecléctica.

Modern physical education is a pedagogical activity that arises influenced by an idealistic philosophical perspective, which favored its hygienist and utilitarian approach. Over time this philosophical conception has been relativized, giving rise to a philosophical discussion where objectivist and subjectivist views clash. In this article, both conceptions are addressed, and a new conceptual look is included; specifically, the eclectic perspective that finds its philosophical bases in the phenomenological, existentialist, and realistic current. In this way, it is concluded that the physical environment of the human being responds to a synthesis between objective and subjective aspects, which can be educated intentionally and with greater prominence than in other educational processes.La educación física moderna es una actividad pedagógica que surge influenciada por una perspectiva filosófica idealista, que favoreció su enfoque higienista y utilitario. Con el tiempo dicha concepción filosófica ha sido relativizada, dando lugar a una discusión filosófica donde se enfrentan las miradas objetivista y subjetivista. En este artículo se abordan ambas concepciones y se incluye una nueva mirada conceptual; en concreto, la perspectiva ecléctica que encuentra sus bases filosóficas en la corriente fenomenológica, existencialista y realista. De este modo, se concluye que el ámbito físico del ser humano responde a una síntesis entre aspectos objetivos y subjetivos, el cual puede ser educado de manera intencionada y con mayor protagonismo que en otros procesos educativos
