Violência política em tempo de guerra

This article explores the Exhibition of Nazi Material organized by the Department of Political and Social Order of Santa Catarina during the years 1942 and 1943, when Brazil declared war against Axis countries during World War II. It shows how violent the political police was to populations originally from Italy and Germany, then considered "Brazilian homeland's enemy" during the period of the state of war. It brings apprehensions of objects which referred to the culture of those countries and materials evidencing the presence of Nazism and Fascism's supporters in the State of Santa Catarina; also approaches how was the set up of an exhibition for praising the work of the political police and spreading the repulse of other individuals and fear into the communities. Este artigo trata da Exposição de Material Nazista organizada pelo Departamento de Ordem Política e Social de Santa Catarina nos anos de 1942 e 1943, quando o Brasil declarava guerra aos países do Eixo, durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial. Mostra a violência com que a Polícia Política tratava as populações originárias da Itália e da Alemanha, países então considerados “inimigos da pátria brasileira” durante a vigência do estado de guerra. Fala das apreensões de objetos que remetiam à cultura daqueles países e de materiais que evidenciavam a presença de partidários do nazismo e do fascismo no estado de Santa Catarina. Trata também da montagem de uma exposição cujo objetivo era enaltecer o trabalho da Polícia Política e propagar a repulsa do outro e o medo na população.  &nbsp
