THE EVALUATION OF STUDENTS’ ENGLISH READING COMPREHENSION RESULT AT UPB UIN SULTHAN THAHA SAIFUDDIN JAMBI

The design in this study was a qualitative descriptive study. The subject of this study were the students of the elementary english language course (A2 Elementary). The number of students is 30 students from various Faculties. In this study, researcher used data collection techniques through interview, observasion and observation. The results of this study were the result of reading comprehension: 1). Vocabulary, 2). Grammar, 3) Pronunciation. In reading comprehension result from various Faculties, namely Tarbiyah Faculty 77.5%, Adab Faculty 83.0%, Syari’ah Faculty 75.6%, and Ushuluddin Faculty 71.25%. the highest score is from Adab Faculty and the lowest score is Ushuluddin Faculty.
