USING ROUNDTABLE TECHNIQUE TO ENHANCE STUDENTS' WRITING ABILITY AT MTS AN-NIZHAM JAMBI

This study aimed to find out using roundtable technique to enhance students' writing ability at eight grade of MTs An-nizham Jambi. This research was quantitative research and it was conducted by using quasi-experimental design. The subject of this research was 42 students. The result of the analysis indicated that the mean of the post-test score (73.9) was higher than the mean of pretest score (54.48). So that Ha was accepted. It means there was significant improvement on students' writing ability before and after being taught by Roundatable techniques. Next, the researcher had computed that the result of Paired Sample t-test and independent sample t-test. In paired sample t-test, the result shows P-value was less than 0.05 (0.0000.05 means Ho was accepted and the Ha was rejected and in the equal variances not assumed P-value was 0.22 , 0.05 means Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. It means, there was significance difference between the students' taught by using roundtable techniques and those who were not
