Ancient Egyptian botanical collars and garlands provide useful information about ancient Egyptian funerary practices and symbolism, artistic depictions of these types of objects, and other factors such as craftsmanship and horticultural practices. In addition to the botanical examples, there are also plant-form beaded replicas, as well as numerous depictions of botanical collars and garlands in tomb art. This thesis examines existing information on botanical collars and garlands and develops a corpus of published examples.
