Digital Storytelling: Do multimodal choices influence audience persuasion?

This study examined how effective a personal narrative digital story is in terms of persuasion through the use of an experiment involving two digital stories. The human communication theory of narrative paradigm and research on the field of digital storytelling were used to provide rationale for the study\u27s hypotheses. The study explored how effective and persuasive multimedia digital stories are compared to the script of the digital stories. Results of the research were insignificant and did not support the hypotheses, as the sample did not find the multimedia stories more effective and persuasive than the scripts of the digital stories
