This scientific paper discusses the deployment of artificial intelligence to predict consumer purchase behaviour. Its goal is to review possibilities of using artificial intelligence to predict emotions of consumers who shop online. Such predictions can be used to make product offers tailored to consumer needs. The paper begins with the examination of subject matter literature containing definitions of artificial intelligence. An original author´s interpretation of the term is also proposed. This part explains how electronically encoded consumer data can be obtained.
