Emprendedurismo Femenino: Un estudio multi-caso de factores que influyen en la Intención Emprendedora

The gender approach to economic empowerment is of great interest at the regional level. In the city of Pilar - Paraguay, the presence of women creators and owners of companies in the gastronomic sector is observed, considered as references in the field due to their business success; A situation that a priori indicates the entrepreneurial capacity, leadership and the presence of cultural and family factors that allowed these women to overcome the barriers imposed by the patriarchal culture. The objective of this study is to analyze the factors that contribute to female business leadership in the gastronomic sector through a qualitative, descriptive study of multiple cases, with an intentional sample of 6 women business owners; that have a minimum of five years in the local market. It takes as an analysis category the profile of the entrepreneur, her motivations and the difficulties she went through in the process of creating the company; Likewise, the in-depth interview was used as a data collection strategy, supported by a semi-structured guide. The main finding of this study was that the owners entered the market motivated by an opportunity seen in the field; but limited in certain cases by the lack of financial education, access to credit, contact networks and programs and politics to help entrepreneurs.El enfoque de género referido al empoderamiento económico resulta de gran interés a nivel regional. En la ciudad de Pilar, Paraguay se observa la presencia de mujeres creadoras y propietarias de empresas del rubro gastronómico, consideradas como referencias en el ramo por su éxito empresarial; situación que a priori indica la capacidad emprendedora, el liderazgo y la presencia de factores culturales y familiares que permitieron a estas mujeres superar las barreras que impone la cultura patriarcal. El objetivo de este estudio es analizar los factores que contribuyen al liderazgo empresarial femenino en el rubro gastronómico a través de un estudio cualitativo, de tipo descriptivo, de casos múltiples, con una muestra intencionada de 6 mujeres propietarias de empresas; que cuentan con un mínimo de cinco años en el mercado local. Toma como categoría de análisis el perfil de la emprendedora, sus motivaciones y las dificultades que atravesaron en el proceso de creación de la empresa; igualmente se utilizó la entrevista a profundidad como estrategia de recolección de datos, apoyada por una guía semiestructurada. El principal hallazgo de este estudio fue que las propietarias se lanzaron al mercado motivadas por una oportunidad visualizada en el rubro; pero limitadas en ciertos casos por la falta de una educación financiera, de acceso a créditos, redes de contactos y programas y políticas de ayuda a emprendedores
