The main aim of our project is to convert medical records in traditional non-digitized format to a more useful digitized format using Optical Character Recognition (HCR). Using HCR software to recognize medical documents has many benefits. Manual method for data entry was used previously to capture data from medical records, when HCR was not present. With this handwritten character recognition method, it shows the ability of a computer to receive and recognize handwritten data in medical records.
