Estereotipos culturales sobre España en estudiantes universitarios extranjeros: el caso de los Erasmus eslovenos

The aim of this paper is to analyze the perception that Slovenian university students have about the Spanish culture and language. It is assessed how the perception of stereotypes has been affected after an Erasmus stay in Spain.Through a sociolinguistic test, the lexicon available to Slovenian university students of Spanish as a foreign langauge (level B2-C1) in several centers of interest (Spain, Spanish language, Spaniards, Spanish customs and traditions) is presented. It is further on compared between the group of students who heave never done a long stay in Spain with those who have been on Erasmus exchange in Spain for at least 5 months. In this way, we will try to answer the following question: To what extent does this type of inmersion influence the available lexicon of a foreign language and the stereotypes of its culture?Con este trabajo se pretende analizar la percepción que tienen los estudiantes universitarios eslovenos sobre la cultura y la lengua españolas. Se valora cómo se ha visto afectada la percepción de los estereotipos después de una estancia de Erasmus en España. A través de una prueba sociolingüística, se presenta el léxico disponible de los universitarios eslovenos de ELE (nivel B2-C1) en varios centros de interés (España, Lengua española, Los españoles, Costumbres y tradiciones españolas) y se compara el grupo de estudiantes que nunca ha hecho una estancia larga en España con aquellos que han estado de Erasmus en España por los menos 5 meses. Así trataremos de responder a la siguiente pregunta: ¿en qué medida influye ese tipo de estancias en el léxico disponible de la lengua extranjera adquirida y en los estereotipos de su cultura
