The main goal of this study is analyzing experiences and challenges of second and third generation Turkish–Germans during the return migration process and offering possible solutions and social policy recommendations to eliminate these challenges. For this reason, current return migration literature and social policy practices of Turkey and different countries were examined. Qualitative methods of social research have been applied in this study using semi-structured in-depth interviews with returnees. The main findings show that transnational practices affect the diaspora policy and experiences of second and third generation migrants.
