This course examines cognitive processes, sometimes called "higher mental processes." Cognitive psychology includes topics such as perception, attention, memory, language, and thinking. At the end of this course you will gain an appreciation of the basic information in cognitive psychology, including research and theory, as well as an understanding of the complexity of cognitive processes; and hopefully, you will be able to apply your knowledge to your own cognitive processes
