This study aimed to explain and understand the acceptance of the Electronic Performance Support System (EPSS) on the basis of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). This mixed methods research study was conducted within the Crime Scene Investigation and Identification Units of the Turkish National Police. The quantitative data were collected from 209 police officers with a questionnaire to test the hypothesized relationships in TAM. At the same time, the qualitative data were collected through interviews with 15 police officers to acquire an in-depth understanding of the key beliefs (perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use) and facilitating conditions regarding the acceptance of the EPSS.
