Recent studies have shown that simulated ground motions could be utilized to determine the seismic vulnerability of structures where there are limited number of real ground motion records compatible with seismological characteristics of the area of interest. Among various simulation techniques, stochastic finite-fault methodology is believed to practically simulate realistic broadband records including the frequencies which affect the built environment.
