This text concerns the presence of Portuguese masters and students at Paris during the Middle Ages. The first part is dedicated to methodological considerations (sources and method), being followed by a historical and sociological analyses of the phenomenon. The last part of the work studies the not well known aspect of the economic support of the scholars, optimised in this case by the exploration of an economic circuit between Portugal and France.
