The present text focuses on the question of "Ecclesiology" (not simply the "Church") in a world marked by plurality and by signals of contradictory meaning. From this perspective it takes as a horizon of reflection the hermeneutic presuppositions and the elements of criteriology indispensable in terms of the Church’s identity and mission in these circumstances. At the same time, emphasis has been placed on certain practical orientations which it is important to consider with regard to the future.
