This article aims to ponder on the relationship between an anthropology of the sacred and fundamental theology. To this end, it starts from the evangelical transformation of the sacred, as carried out in Jesus the Son. He becomes the measure of the sacred, overcoming its religious or irreligious reductions. This instrument allows a discernment of the sacred in a Christian regime, based on the ethical‑theological dimension of the religious. Christianity becomes a religious criticism of the religious, in the dialectic between faith and religion. Para tal, parte da transformação evangélica do sagrado, tal como realizada em Jesus, o Filho. Ele passa a ser a medida do sagrado, superando as suas reduções religiosas ou irreligiosas. Esse instrumento permite um discernimento do sagrado em regime cristão, assente na dimensão ético‑teologal do religioso. O cristianismo torna‑se uma crítica religiosa do religioso, na dialética entre fé e religião. O contexto irreligioso da secularização exige uma exposição própria desta tarefa crítica, na busca daquilo que é comum aos humanos, como justiça
