The 2009 general election was the first election in which women candidates have to compete freely and very hard with men candidates. This is as a consequence of the Decision of the Constitutional Court No. 22 -24 / PUU -VI / 2008, which establishes the candidates elected by a majority vote. This study examines the implications of the Decision of the Constitutional Court against the vote of women candidates. The study was conducted in Banyumas by using descriptive survey based on secondary data published by the National Election Commission (KPU) Banyumas.
