Describes a formative evaluation program that has evolved over a 5-yr period in a psychology training clinic. The context and objectives of training evaluation are also described. Measures of training process and outcome and some illustrative results are presented. Special design and measurement problems are considered, and strategies for enhancing the relevance and utilization of training evaluation are examined.
