COASTMAP is an integrated environmental modeling and monitoring system designed for application to estuarine and coastal seas. In the present paper the application of the system to monitor and model the circulation and pollutant transport in Greenwich Bay is described. Three real time water quality monitoring stations were established and collected data on sea surface elevation, temperature, salinity, and dissolved oxygen. A boundary fitted coordinate hydrodynamic model and a particle based pollutant transport model were employed to predict the tidal and wind driven circulation and dispersion of material released from point sources in the system.
