I will be performing a sociolinguistic discourse analysis on the code-switching patterns present in verbal communication between twins. The purpose of this analysis is to identify the patterns, if any, in the communicative tendencies between a set of twins in comparison to their communication with individuals outside of their sibling relation. For the purposes of this study, I identify the patterns present in twin YouTube personalities, focusing on choices in diction and rhythm in their speech and measure the magnitude of difference in those choices once speaking with an individual other than their sibling.
