In this article I analyze the processes of patrimonialization of the Fortín Cuatreros Museum in the Bahía Blanca district (south of the province of Buenos Aires) and the associated historical accounts as processes of construction of local memories and educational resource destined to young people from high school. This museum represents the last of the forts located in the advance of the frontier that guarded the so-called “Zanja de Alsina” in 1876, near the estuary that frontier said city.
