Background: CMV seroprevalence varies considerably in different population groups throughout the world. Seroconversion results from close contact with virus positive individuals. It need to stop its transmission & save the population from CMV infection by adapting safety measures like safe sex, safe blood transfusion, screening antenatal mothers for CMV & health education. Methodology: The study cohort consisted of 105 patients which included 60 males and 45 females. Seroprevalence of CMV IgG antibodies in HIV and non-HIV patients are done by ELISA.
