Background: Paediatric shaft of femur fracture account for 1.4 to 1.7 percent of all the paediatric fractures. There are many treatment options for fracture shaft of the femur. Treatment decision depends upon children age, fracture character and social status. Initially, surgical treatments for fracture shaft of the femur were confined to polytrauma patients.
