This article tackles the issue of data manipulation in pandemics wherein often the data is manipulated or underreported for various reasons by certain government and public institutions. This problem came to light during the first few months of the COVID-19 pandemic and had a major effect on the public health response in countries around the globe. To solve this issue, a blockchain-based system and implementation is proposed to allow hospitals and testing centres to transmit their data while also minimising the risk of manipulation from government bodies.
