The purpose of this work is to explain the variety of meanings of the Epiphany of the medieval choir of the Cathedral of Santiago, drawing on evangelical sources, the iconographic tradition, medieval theology and royal donations in relation to the end of the work of the temple. I conclude that the representation of the Adoration of the Magi emanating from the dogma of the Incarnation closed the evangelical and eschatological message of the Pórtico de la Gloria, evoked the arrival at the Jacobean Basilica −earthly image of the heavenly Jerusalem− of all nations of the world, bearers of offerings, and served as a mirror of the kings of Leon and their donations to the Compostela Church
