AimTo analyze the clinical characteristics of Hashimoto’s thyroiditis (HT) in children below 3 years of age in order to improve the understanding of the disease, avoid misdiagnosis, and achieve early diagnosis and treatment.MethodsThe study retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of 19 patients diagnosed with HT in the first three years of life.ResultsThe patients (12 female, 7 male) had an average age of 26.1 ± 8.2 months (range 10–36 months). At presentation, one patient had euthyroidism, ten had hypothyroidism, seven had subclinical hypothyroidism, and one had hyperthyroidism.
