Oral history interview with Dr. Ron Morgan

Abstract provided by interviewer Charlie Monroe. Dr. Ron Morgan attended Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas from 1977 to 1981. ACU is known for providing a liberal arts and Christian education. Dr. Morgan describes his experience on campus during his time at ACU and discusses the role that religious culture impacts the campus culture of the University. He discusses the influence that religious and thus campus culture had in terms of dating and marriage on campus and how gendered roles played into social club formals, which professors taught which classes, and various activities on campus. This interview provides primary source information of ACU’s gendered social, religious, and cultural beliefs that were prevalent on campus during the late 70’s and early 80’s
