The effect of leadership variables, abilities, and motivation on the lecturers performance of public and private universities in Malang

Leadership institution factor, ability, and motivation have good effects both partially and simultaneously into works of lecturer in-state university and private university in Malang. From this background, the researcher wants to examine deeper is about leadership variable factor, ability and motivation into the works of lecturer case study in Malang. The result of the research shows that: (1) There is the effect of leadership in university ability. (2) There is leadership effect and lecturer ability into motivation. (3) Leadership and ability affect the work of lecturers through motivation factors directly. (4)Ability and motivation affect the works of the lecturer directly. Implications of this research are necessary of the compatible and visionary leadership of university, support and give chance to lecturer to increase ability and give motivation for them in order to get better work of lecturer. If the work of the lecturer is getting better, it will support the quality of application of the Three Responsibilities of Institute of Higher Education to make high-quality graduated students
