Migration of men to other places for economic benefits, has a considerable impact on the families left behind. Migration causes a lot of problems to families particularly the wives of the migrants. These can be personal, psychological, managerial, social and children/discipline related. The study was conducted in the Kangra District of Himachal Pradesh, which has mountainous terrain and rugged topography, to investigate the problems of women due to migration.
