Globalization requires school institutions to set certain advantages. Principal leadership plays a key role in building public trust and optimal academic service quality, one of which is by placing an organization's competitive edge as the core value of the institution. This study aims to assess principal leadership based on core values, characteristics of school quality implementation and the implementation concept of quality assurance system. Using bibliographic data, this study identifies that leadership with quality assurance has a relation to a value system built on a vision that is imbued with every citizen of the school. The vision of leadership based on mutually agreed values has spawned the excellence of schools amid the proliferation of educational institutions. Educational institutions are not viewed as social investments, but educational institutions have become noble industries.
