In the present case study with an elite bicyclist of all-terrain bicycle we address the presence of irrational beliefs and cognitive distortions related to performance and competition, analyze their moods throughout the intervention as well as reorient the establishment of objectives clearly aimed at the result, given that all this could increase the vulnerability of athletes to be injured as well as hinder their rehabilitation process. The recurrent lesive processes, like the one we are dealing with, also produce higher levels of stress and despair, since they prevent athletes from not only practicing sports but believing that they can overcome the injury.
