Finding by the author of two Polish-language panegyrics dedicated to Konstancja Sanguszkowa from Denhoffs, which came from the pen of an anonymous author in the second half of the 18th century, became an inspiration to reminding of her fate. The article is a reconstruction of the duchess's biography based on journalistic sources. It introduces the story of two unhappy and controversial marriages that caused a scandal in the age of enlightenment: the first with Janusz Aleksander Sanguszko - a swinger and homosexual and the second with Józef Rogaliński - a much younger materialist.
