The overall objective of Oxfam GB's climate change campaign was to get a fair and safe global climate change deal at COP15 in December 2009. This would translate into concrete policy where rich countries recognize their obligations and historic responsibility, to,support and finance adaptation actions in developing countries (beyond development assistance) and equitable mitigation based on historic responsibility and capacity, where global temperature would not increase beyond 2 degrees
