Covid-19 has shaken the world in telling us how important the public health is in addition to a well-functioning health system. During the recent pandemic older persons are affected most and many died without adequate care and support. The mental health and economic cost are uncountable. One important lesson was that improving healthcare services is a must that require adequate training of healthcare workers. Therefore, the talk will focus on the importance of the healthcare workforce in an ageing society who can handle the crisis efficiently
