Recent archaeological investigations in Valle Sabbia in the territory of Brescia (Northern Italy) have led to the discovery of a new place of worship dating back to Roman times, probably built on a previous indigenous sanctuary. At Villanuova sul Clisi, on a panoramic hillock overlooking the entire Valle Sabbia and Lake Garda, several wall structures have emerged that define a complex structured on several levels, with a rectangular main compartment of about 11 x 4.20 m, built with large retaining walls on the summit plateau, and a series of annexed side structures.
