In the industrial applications, innovative solutions for thickness measurements are investigated in this last years. In particular, technical solutions characterized by proper metrological performance and at the same time small size, low cost, and simple integrability are followed with the aim of operating within the modern industrial context. In these scenarios, the paper describes a two thickness measurement techniques directly derived from Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) are analyzed and compared.
