According to the authors, Ricoeur’s contribution is important because he reconnects responsibility to the semantics of moral imputation, therefore regaining the sense of the connection between the agent and the action more than that of the attribution of its (typically negative) consequences. Responsibility in technological innovation is not just about a correct procedures and robust and trustworthy technological devices; it is also about personal commitment, towards oneself and the others
