Disposable products satisfy many requirements that are difficult to achieve with long-life products, so we are obliged to use them even if they have a strong environmental impact. Furthermore it is interesting to note that large part of these products are made of plastic materials. This class of products can be redesigned with a smaller environmental impact using biodegradable polymer. The case study of a disposable product (a toothbrush for restaurants made of a starch based plastic) will be discussed as an application exampl
