Sudabeh Mohafez is a German writer of Iranian origin. This article focuses particularly on the narrative description of nature in her literary debut 'Wüstenhimmel Sternenland', 2004. Nature is an important leitmotif that constantly appears in different variants in the production of Mohafez and this study examines in particular the several functions of the use of natural elements in this text. Nature is in 'Wüstenhimmel Sternenland' a symbol of the homeland but also of multi-identity of Sudabeh Mohafez
