Nous avons étudié la diversité génétique chloroplastique et nucléaire des chênes appartenant à deux paysages forestiers fragmentés du sud-ouest de la France. L'histoire de ces populations a été retracée grâce au polymorphisme de l'ADN chloroplastique. Alors que ce marqueur démontre que les chênes ont une origine maternelle ibérique, sa structuration géographique contrastée entre les deux sites témoigne de dynamiques paysagères différentes. Les diversités nucléaires des chênes d'une forêt gérée en futaie régulière en peuplement continu et de ceux d'une forêt gérée en taillis sous futaie en peuplement fragmenté sont équivalentes, le mode de gestion n'a pas ici de conséquence détectable sur la diversité intraspécifique.
