Dans cet article, les équations instationnaires pour la qualité de l'eau et les coefficients de sensibilité associés sont résolus à l'échelle d'un réseau de distribution d'eau. Un nouvel algorithme de résolution est proposé, conçu pour une vitesse variant lentement et basé sur une méthode à pas fractionnaires pour séparer et résoudre efficacement chacun des phénomènes physiques. cette approche numérique permet la résolution simultannée du problème direct comme des équations de sensibilité.
