Contrast of Piano Forms of the Classical Period and the Romantic Period

The purpose of this subject is to study and present the basic forms the composers used in the Classical and Romantic Periods in their compositions; to find and state the factors that influenced the composers of the Romantic Period to establish a complete new form and style of composing different from that of the Classical Period; to show how and why the forms of the two periods influenced the modern piano forms; to compare and show the differences between the piano forms of the Classical and Romantic Eras; to explain the particular schools of piano playing and forms during the Classical Period, and to discuss the important composers of the Classical and Romantic Periods and state their contributions of forms. This subject deals with the comparison of piano forms of the Classical and Romantic Periods. The writer is concerned with the factors that influenced the composers to develop and use new forms during each period.
