The purpose of this study is to determine what problems of school adjustment are common to six-year-olds classified according to socio-economic groups. It is believed that these problems can be determined by an investigation of the following questions: What are the specific adjustment problems of six-year-olds entering public school for the first time? (1) What are the social adjustment problems of six-year-olds to their peer group? (2) When the pupils are stratified according to socio-economic groups -- high and low -- will their problems be different? If so what are they? (3) When children are classified according to intelligence, what is the nature of their problems
