This study is concerned with the educational status of pupils in grades two through six of the Canaan Elementary School, Marshall, Texas, as measured by a series of objective tests, and with appraisal of socioeconomic factors which might tend to influence the present educational status of these pupils. This study has been designed to answer the following questions: 1. In comparison with established norms, what is the educational status of the pupils in grades two through six of the Canaan Elementary School with respect to the content and tool subjects? 2.
