La producción de ganado ovino y vacuno influye diferencialmente sobre el suelo y la vegetación de los ecosistemas naturales, pudiendo afectar las comunidades de insectos que allí habitan. El objetivo de este trabajo fue cuantificar el impacto de prácticas ganaderas tradicionales con ovinos y vacunos sobre las comunidades de coleópteros en pastizales nativos y bosques de ñire (Nothofagus antarctica) en Tierra del Fuego. Se seleccionaron sitios con ganado ovino y vacuno, con distinta intensidad de uso (poco-mucho) lo cual se corroboró mediante conteo de heces.
